The 2027 edition
The passport
A pocket-sized booklet with a page for every participating independent bookstore: its address, its own offer and a place for its stamp. Think of it as a coupon book: the offers add up to well over $100 in savings. It is good for one year and costs $15.
Launching on Independent Bookstore Day, late April 2027. Join the list and we will tell you the day it is ready to buy.
Free bookmark hunt
Every participating store has bookmarks. To earn a stamp, make a purchase at the store, then ask for your stamp. Collect stamps from ten different stores and you earn a free passport, a coupon book valued at over $100. Mail in the finished bookmark and we send it to you.
- One stamp per store, so ten stores means ten different shops
- Any purchase counts, whatever the size
- There is no required order
- The ten stores come from the same passport edition

Passports by area
The first passport covers Northeast Florida. Passports can also be made for a smaller area, such as St. Augustine and St. Johns County, so the hunt is ten stores close enough to enjoy in a weekend or a month. Each passport lists its own stores.
What the offers look like
Each store chooses its own offer, and you only see them inside the passport. Stores are thinking about things like:
- A free small coffee with a book purchase
- 10% off your purchase
- A free muffin or cookie
- Buy one, get one 50% off
- A free bookmark or tote with any purchase
- $5 off any purchase
- Half off a used paperback
